The family who runs the establishment, along with their charming cat Max, made for a welcoming atmosphere. My room, equipped with a private bathroom, provided direct access to a lush garden-ideal for quiet mornings. What stood out was the breakfast, featuring a typical continental spread of pastries, fruits, and cereal, with the added bonus of freshly prepared eggs. This thoughtful gesture enhanced the overall experience. The location is commendable, merely a two-minute stroll from the beach-a perfect spot for relaxation-while restaurants and Varenna are within easy reach. The property's proximity to the city center, along with the ferry point to Bellagio, presents an excellent opportunity for exploration. the hosts accommodated my late arrival, reflecting their commitment to guest satisfaction. While the experience was undeniably enjoyable, consider that the amenities, including laundry services and the well-maintained garden area, make Le Ortensie an astute choice for travelers seeking both leisure and financial prudence. I recommend this gem for those valuing access and comfort without disproportionate expense.
